Working with families has always been a highly rewarding experience for me. I have extensive experience working with young people and families with a range of common and complex mental health difficulties, as well as those with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

I completed my medical training an MBBS from India, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Therapy. I completed my specialist training with the Tavistock and Portman Trust training scheme.

I have experience in using a range of therapeutic modalities including Systemic, Cognitive Behavioural and Dialectical Behavioural approaches, as well as Mindfulness and Mentalisation.

I recognise the importance of providing high quality evidence based care to young people and families while adopting a strengths based holistic approach. I and am a great believer in co-production which focuses on empowering young people and families to take a leading role in the management of their mental health. I am the Associate Clinical Director in a large hospital for adolescents with serious mental health difficulties.

Thanks to my work with a broad range of families from a wide spectrum of cultural backgrounds I know that the common thread is the love that families have for one another and I see it as my role to hold in mind the hope for recovery while guiding their journey to their goals and objectives.

As a new parent myself I have a new found regard for my spare time and in my spare time I enjoy entertaining friends and family to dinner parties and singing in my choir.
