My doctorate was completed at the University of Bath. I am BABCP accredited and am systemically trained with a foundation level Association of Family Therapy (AFT) accreditation. I am an integrative therapist and am trained in approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Systemic Therapy and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). My experience of working with children has also included producing high quality reports for the purpose of educational support in schools and other agencies.
I have experience conducting cognitive, adaptive, play-based and diagnostic assessments, as well as social, emotional and behavioural screeners. I offer therapeutic interventions with children and families for the purpose of understanding and supporting development needs, psychological wellbeing, relationships, and mental health concerns. I have extensive experience of working with children and adolescents in different settings including; child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), CAMHS for children with learning disabilities, specialist services for children with neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, ASD and Tourette’s), inpatient CAMHS eating disorders and working in a hospital paediatric setting specializing in children with physical health difficulties and co-occurring mental health difficulties.
I am also interested in working with parents to support parenting and have experience of offering 1:1 and group parenting sessions. Using a strengths-based approach I collaboratively create value-based goals to aid motivation and I aim to foster empowerment in everyone I work with.
In my spare time I enjoy running, Pilates and reading.
