I completed my doctorate in Applied Educational Psychology at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2012. I have a Bachelor of Science (BSc Honours) Degree in Psychology that I completed at the University of Essex in 2004. I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council. I have chartered psychologist status with the British Psychological Society.
I am a passionate educational psychologist with over ten years of experience. I also have five years of experience working in schools and early years settings in various roles supporting children and young people. I have worked in the north east, Cornwall and Essex.

I am skilled in assessment, consultation, training delivery, service development, critical incidents, supervision, research and report writing. I have a strong understanding of learning differences and appropriate interventions to support children to make progress. I gained specialist experience of working in social and emotional needs whilst working with a youth offending team as a senior specialist educational psychologist for four years.
I particularly favour approaches that utilise positive psychology for example solution- oriented approaches and narrative approaches. I am trained in the use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and I am also undertaking training in the use of Video Interaction Guidance.
In my spare time I enjoy going to gym classes, travel and the theatre.
