“I believe that every person has a story, and it is a privilege to be trusted with someone’s inner world.”
I am a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist with a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, with over 19 years of experience working in the NHS.

Alongside my clinical practice, I have held longstanding roles in leadership, teaching, supervision, and service development.
At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to holistic, person-centred care. I trained in psychotherapy to enrich my psychiatric practice and hold an accredited qualification in Cognitive Analytic Therapy. My approach is integrative, drawing on experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy, group analysis, and Balint groups.

My clinical interests include doctor wellbeing, transcultural psychiatry, recovery-focused care, women’s mental health, trauma, acculturation, and the impact of early attachment experiences on adult mental health and relationships.

I also have a particular interest in supporting South Asian women healthcare professionals, while working respectfully with people of all cultures, identities, and life experiences.

I believe that the lived experience of my patients is central to the therapeutic process.
I have developed and delivered psychoeducational groups, including work co-produced alongside patients, and I value working closely with families and carers where appropriate and with consent.

I am also committed to supporting colleagues from diverse backgrounds and have held leadership roles supporting International Medical Graduates.
My aim is to offer a safe, thoughtful, and compassionate space where you feel seen, heard, and understood, and where we can work together to shape a meaningful and sustainable recovery journey.
